Safety of dog treadmills

Part of the safety of Dogmills dog walking belts is that you can position the dog properly between the side panels. In the majority of our models (Dogmills Economy, Dogmills Carpet, Dogmills Standard and Dogmills Pro), the dog can be secured to the top of the dog walking belt frame. An additional safety line is included for this purpose, which can be attached by yourself. This way, the dog cannot simply get off the treadmill backwards. By securing the dog between the side panels, the dog cannot fall off the tread at both low and high speeds. The Dogmills Curve is the only model without side panels, but the round shape of this treadmill provides optimal resistance for free and safe running on the treadmill.

Safety of dog treadmills

Otherwise, all Dogmills are equipped with well-finished materials. We ensure that a dog cannot hurt itself anywhere. Regardless of whether you choose the wooden or plastic slats, the tread surface is flat and reliable. The plastic slats flex a little more and most likely (compared to the wooden slats) last a little longer, but they do not compromise safety. All treads offer sufficient strength during use. In addition, all Dogmills have anti-shock floor or foot profiles (including an extra attachment eye with security cord). These floor and foot profiles provide the necessary stability when dogs walk or run on the treadmills.

Finally, the safety of Dogmills treadmills is enhanced by the fact that the treadmills are non-electric. Because a dog can set its own pace instead of the speed being set with a remote control for the dog, it will not occur when the pace is too fast and it becomes dangerous as a result. The dog can independently reduce its speed or stop the treadmill at any time.
