The most suitable Dog treadmills for small dogs

The Dogmills Standard is the most suitable dog walker for small dogs. The running surface is 1600 x 300 mm. Combined with high-speed bearings (the best bearings with the least rolling resistance), this dog treadmill runs very smoothly for smaller dogs in particular. As all Dogmills are non-electric and thus must be powered by their own muscle power, a minimum weight of 5 kg applies. If dogs are lighter than 5 kg, it will be very difficult to get the treadmill moving independently.

Dog treadmill with small dog

When buying a dog treadmill for a small dog, you can pay attention to the size of the running surface. The larger the tread, the harder walking on the treadmill can be. Should you choose an electric treadmill, it is also important not to set the speed too high. After all, smaller dogs need to take more steps than larger dogs. Nevertheless, we recommend going for a non-electric dog treadmill at all times should you consider it. Read why here (link to page benefits of non-electric dog walkers). Furthermore, for dog owners of small dogs, it is therefore advisable to choose the high-speed extra option in case you opt for Dogmills. Because these bearings offer the least resistance, it is easier for smaller dog breeds to train on such treadmills.
